The APC and PDP have ruled Nigeria since 1999 (26 years of uninterrupted democracy) and the things they brought to us are insecurity, suicide bombings, incessant civil disturbances, rising of unemployment, kidnappings, increasing wave of banditry – armed robbery and pen-robbery dowsed by heavy presence of armed personnel and corruption at the highest level.
We have been accumulating our grievances for 26 years. We must at this material time say enough to deception. Because deception has become the order of the day in Nigeria.
The expectations are huge and we cannot achieve the changes we desire at 64 years of independence. I could not resist these sidelong glances on the APC and PDP.
The greatest challenge facing us since 1999 is how to reform our country as a place of peace, law and order – a disciplined society that can focus on a common national goal.
In 2014, President Buhari put his hand on his chest when he questioned the styles of the leaders before him in addressing the many problems of Nigeria.
But, Buhari in 8 years failed to address them. The situation is threatening to wipe out everything else in his achievements if any. The security situation in the country is very complex.
Nigeria is running out of time and ideas. Some elements who ganged up against Jonathan in 2015 are doing the same against Tinubu today. Some of these people are determining to have chaos in 2027.
Both political parties (PDP & APC) have failed Nigeria to the extend that we don’t know which party to give a new chance. ADC? I think we need another new train of progressives.
The leaders they produced so far lacked focus demonstrated by the absence of good and sustainable policies on housing, agriculture, electricity, education and industrial development.
The APC is not bothered by the barrage of criticisms from the four corners of the country because the so called leaders that party put at different places are enticed by the power that could easily influence their next victory. This is a costly blunder.
My position is dedicated by my conviction that Nigeria precious enough to be saved. It is now understood that the success of our country has less to do with speed but with timing and direction.
We need ordinary Nigerians to making Nigeria more great and marketable. We have lost our past glory – we must revive and redeem it.
Nigerians should choose hope over fear in 2027.
