The United Kingdom chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has conferred an Award of Honour on Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, in recognition of his contributions to the growth and development of the party at the grassroots level.
The Independent Mirror reports that the Chairman of the APC UK London Branch, Hon. Tunde Doherty, disclosed this during the award presentation ceremony held at DoubleTree by Hilton, London.
Doherty said the award was presented to Governor Yusuf in recognition of his outstanding leadership qualities and exemplary style of democratic governance.
He added that members of the UK branch of the party nominated the governor for the honour in appreciation of his contributions to strengthening the APC and promoting its values.
The Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Youth and Sports Development, Sani Musa Danja, expressed profound appreciation to the APC UK leadership for recognising the governor’s contributions.
Danja described the award as a clear testament to Governor Yusuf’s role in promoting the growth of the party and strengthening its structures across different levels.

He stated that the governor had continued to champion the values of unity, service, development and progress within the All Progressives Congress.
According to him, Governor Yusuf has consistently advocated stronger relationships among party members and supporters in Nigeria and the diaspora.
Danja added that the honour also reflected the sacrifices and contributions of the people of Kano State, as well as those working towards building a united, prosperous and progressive Nigeria.
He commended Hon. Tunde Doherty and the APC UK leadership for promoting party solidarity and strengthening political engagement among Nigerians living in the diaspora.
Danja also conveyed the governor’s appreciation to the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom for remaining actively connected to Nigeria’s political and developmental aspirations.
He reaffirmed that the Kano State Government, under Governor Yusuf’s leadership, remained committed to youth empowerment, sports development, the creation of economic opportunities and the overall wellbeing of the people of Kano State.
The occasion also featured the inauguration of the Tinubu Must Stay Organisation, UK Chapter, marking another step towards organising supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the United Kingdom.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening diaspora engagement and mobilising support for the President’s leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
