Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have arrived in Cairo, Egypt, ahead of the 17th Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, scheduled to kick off on Sunday in Egypt.
The Independent Mirror reports that the Flying Eagles, led by Head Coach Aliyu Zubairu, landed at Cairo International Airport on an Air flight.
The team is based at Jewel Sports City and Aqua Resort and will hold their first training session later tonight (Monday).
As part of their preparations, the Flying Eagles will face hosts Egypt’s Young Pharaohs in a friendly on Tuesday at 5:00 PM local time (4:00 PM Nigeria time) at Cairo International Stadium.
Nigeria will open their U-20 AFCON campaign against Tunisia at the 30 June Stadium on Thursday, 1st May.
Egypt will host the competition from 27th April to 18th May, 2025.
