Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa, charged the Flying Eagles to go for victory as the team was ready to face Cote D’Ivoire in the final group stage match in WAFU B U20.
The Independent Mirror reports that Musa, made the call on Wednesday night via WhatsApp call shortly after the team’s lunch ahead of the match on Thursday.
He called on the Flying Eagles to be worthy ambassadors of the nation as he vowed that the Nigerians would support them by the prayer.
“I am delivering this goodwill message, I wish the team the best of luck on Thursday’s game against Cote D’Ivoire” Musa Said.
The team Media Officer Babs Sharif Abdallah said, Flying Eagles of Nigeria will battle the Cote D’Ivoire at the Municipal Stadium, Lome Togo as from 3pm local time while (4am Thursday in Nigeria).
The finalists of the 2024 WAFU B U20 football tournament will represent the region at the 2025 U20 African Cup of Nations billed for Egypt next year.
The CAF U20 AFCON will also serve at the qualifying tournaments for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup.with all the semi-finalists booking their World Cup tickets.
