Deputy President of the Senate, Distinguish Senator Barau Jibrin, has donated cash sum of money to Barau Football Club players, coaches, and officials ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Independent mirror reports that in a statement issued on Friday by the club’s media officer, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale revealed that the donation was made in support of the team during the fasting period.
Represented by his Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, Hon. Kabiru Ado Lakwaya handed the cash to the club’s management in Kano.
While speaking, Hon. Kabiru Ado Lakwaya conveyed Senator Barau Jibrin’s commitment to the welfare of the team and his dedication to supporting the community during this year’s Ramadan.
The event was attended by the club’s chairman, Ambassador Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, Board Member, Alhaji Abdul AP, Sporting Director, Yahya Muhd, among others.
