The Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board (KSPHCMB) has approved a series of decisive measures aimed at strengthening accountability, data integrity, and the quality of immunization service delivery during the June 2026 BCU/IBRA Campaign.
The Independent Mirror reports that this was contained in a statement signed by Sa’adatu Suleiman Anipr, Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board, on Sunday.
According to her, the resolutions were reached during the Day Two State-Level End Review Meeting (ERM) held on Sunday at the Kano Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).
The meeting was chaired by the Director General of KSPHCMB, Professor Salisu Ahmad Ibrahim.
Following deliberations on campaign performance and field reports from across the state, the meeting resolved to: Immediately dissolve and blacklist all ten vaccination team members deployed to Hotoro North Ward in Nassarawa Local Government Area.
Remove all personnel posted to Hotoro North Ward, including the Ward Focal Person (WFP), WHO Field Volunteer, SOLINA Supervisor, UNICEF Volunteer Ward Supervisor, Chigari personnel, and all other supporting field staff.
Suspend campaign activities in Hotoro North Ward on Monday, 22 June 2026, to facilitate the recruitment and training of a new set of field workers. Activities will resume on Tuesday, 23 June 2026.
Issue query letters to all senior supervisors, both government and partner-supported, who were posted to Hotoro North Ward.
Mandate the use of accountability booklets across all LGAs and wards for the distribution and documentation of vaccines and campaign consumables, with all vaccination team members required to sign for items received daily.
Enhance monitoring of house-to-house mobilizers by senior supervisors and immediately replace all non-performing mobilizers.
Intensify surveillance against data falsification across all LGAs, with senior supervisors directed to promptly report any infractions to the EOC.
Reconcile vaccine utilization records with submitted campaign data in Nassarawa LGA and appoint an interim Ward Focal Person for Hotoro North Ward.
The meeting reaffirmed KSPHCMB’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the successful implementation of immunization campaigns across Kano State.
Participants emphasized that strict adherence to established operational guidelines remains critical to ensuring the delivery of quality health services and sustaining public confidence in immunization programmes
