The National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has received popular Kano-based musician Abubakar Sani back into the Kwankwasiyya Movement from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Independent Mirror reports that Abubakar Sani had, some months ago, defected to the APC under the influence of the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, leaving the Kwankwasiyya movement.
On his verified Facebook page, Senator Kwankwaso’s media aide, Saifullahi Hassan, wrote: “After being received into the APC some months ago by DSP Barau Jibrin, Malam Abubakar Sani has today (21 April, 2025), made a bold return to his true political home, the Kwankwasiyya Movement.”
He added that Abubakar Sani was warmly welcomed by the National Leader of the NNPP, His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at his residence on Miller Road, Kano.
