Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, member representing Bichi Federal Constituency, has unveiled the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council for Bichi Local Government Area ahead of the 2027 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The Independent Mirror reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the Presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027.
The development was contained in a statement signed by Professor Yusuf Mohammed Sabo, Secretary of the APC Campaign Council for the 2027 General Elections, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
According to the statement, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, will serve as Chairman of the campaign council, while Hon. Lawan Shehu and Hon. Hamza Maifata will serve as Vice Chairman I and Vice Chairman II, respectively.
The statement further disclosed that the former Chairman of Bichi Local Government Council, Hon. Sani Mukaddas, will serve as Director-General, while Professor Yusuf Mohammed Sabo will serve as Secretary of the campaign council.
The campaign council will work with a body of advisers comprising former Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Ahmed Garba Bichi, and former Secretary to the Kano State Government (SSG) and former Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Dr Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, among others.
The expanded campaign council includes various directorates and committees responsible for the following areas including, Body of Advisers, Finance, Fundraising, Youth and Support Groups Mobilisation.
Others Women Mobilisation, Special Duties, Security and Intelligence, Media and Communications, Sports, Data Management, Education, Transportation, Protocol, Prayers and Faith-Based Affairs, Medical and Healthcare Services.
Also the remaining are Caucus and Stakeholders’ Mobilisation, Grassroots Mobilisation, Policy and Manifesto, Manufacturing and MSMEs, Labour Unions, Welfare, Moral Affairs, Agro-Allied Affairs
Non-Indigenes, Inter-Party Affairs, Manufacturing Sector, Legal Affairs, People with Disabilities.
The council will work to intensify grassroots mobilisation across Bichi Local Government Area and secure support for all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
