The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has officially welcomed several prominent politicians who recently defected from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
The Independent Mirror reports that among those received were Senator for Kano South, Suleiman Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila, and former Secretary to the Kano State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi.
Other defectors include Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, a member of the House of Representatives from Rano/Kibiya/Bunkure; Abdullahi Sani Rogo of Rogo/Karaye; Hon. Badamasi Ayuba; Hon. Zubairu Hamza; a member of the Kano state House of assembly, and former Kano State Commissioner of Transportation, Muhammad Diggol.
Dr. Ganduje also received Hon. Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada, former Kano State governorship candidate of the ADP, and Abbas Sani Abbas, a former commissioner in the state.
