The Director General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Hon. Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, has distributed 12,000 bags of rice and ₦500 million in financial support to members of the Tinubu Support Groups (TSG) in Kano State.
The Independent Mirror reports that, the event, which took place at the newly commissioned Tinubu Support Group Office in Kano, witnessed a large turnout of APC stalwarts, party loyalists, and dignitaries from within and outside the state.
The empowerment package also included:
200 cars
100 tricycles (Adaidaita Sahu)
1,000 motorcycles
1,000 solar-powered deep freezers
1,000 bags of flour
1,000 bags of soya beans
1,000 noodle-making machines (Injin Taliya)
500 sewing machines
While speaking Dr. Dan’agundi expressed his gratitude to the TSG members for their unwavering loyalty and commitment.
He assured them that this is only the beginning, revealing that a second phase of empowerment would be rolled out in the coming months.
“These items are meant to economically empower members of the Tinubu Support Groups and to support small-scale businesses across various sectors,” he stated.
Dr. Dan’agundi also reflected on the successful implementation of the first phase of the empowerment scheme, which delivered cars, motorcycles, sewing machines, noodle-making machines, and thousands of bags of rice and flour to beneficiaries.
Looking ahead, he announced that the third, fourth, and fifth phases of the empowerment project are already in the pipeline and are scheduled to be unveiled over the next year.
The Director General reaffirmed his commitment to productivity and empowerment, in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to foster inclusive economic growth and grassroots development.
