Flying Eagles Head Coach Aliyu Zubairu has named a 24-man squad list for this year’s Africa U-20 Cup of Nations taking place in Egypt.
The Independent mirror reports that the list includes midfielder Daniel Bameyi and forward Kparobo Arierhi, also Coach Zubairu has dropped Kano Pillars forward Mustapha Umar and El-Kanemi Warriors midfielder Nasiru Salisu Darma.
The seven-time African champions and two-time World Cup runners-up are scheduled to depart Nigeria for Egypt on Sunday.
They are expected to play a couple of friendly matches before opening their campaign against Tunisia in Cairo on Thursday, 1st May.
Three days later, the Flying Eagles will face Morocco, also in Cairo, before concluding their group stage fixtures against Kenya on Wednesday, 7th May.
All four semi-finalists at the tournament will qualify to represent Africa at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, which runs from 27th September to 19th October.
