Nigerian youngest player, Abdulmajid Aminu, scored twice to help Moneni Pirates FC secure a 2-1 victory over Sea Birds FC in the Eswatini MTN Premier League match on Wednesday.
The Independent Mirror reports that, Abdulmajid Aminu, a former Kano Pillars player, came on as a substitute and scored two decisive goals, earning his club three crucial points.
Sea Birds FC took the lead in the 37th minute, but Abdulmajid Aminu, who came off the bench, equalized in the 66th minute and later scored the winning goal in the 86th minute for Moneni Pirates FC.
The Kano-born striker had an outstanding 2024/25 season, consistently delivering top performances and leading from the front with numerous goals.
In a post-match interview, the 19-year-old striker expressed heartfelt gratitude to the fans, his mentor Abubakar Isah Dandago, and the coaching staff for their unwavering support throughout the season.
As celebrations continue, Abdulmajid Aminu emphasized his commitment to improving his skills and leading his club to more victories in the ongoing season.
Moneni Pirates FC has now moved up to 5th place on the Eswatini MTN Premier League table with 35 points from 20 matches.
And their next match will be against Madlenya on Monday, 21 April 2025.
