Voting has ended in many polling units in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi states for the governorship elections in the three states.
The Independent Mirror reported that Voting ended around 3pm in polling units observed newsmen in the three states.
Electoral officials thereafter crossed the unused ballot papers as stipulated in the electoral law. The exercise has moved into sorting and counting of votes.
In Kogi state, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election, Dino Melaye earlier raised the alarm over “filled result sheets” in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area of the North Central state.
The PDP candidate alleged that results sheets were filled in Kogi before the commencement of voting today.
