NDLEA Launches “Kick Drugs Out of Sports” Awareness Campaign at An-Nour Science Academy

In a bold move to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among young athletes, the sports unit of NDLEA Kano State Command, in collaboration with the DDRD unit, has launched the “Kick Drugs Out of Sports” awareness campaign at An-Nour Science Academy.

On Thursday, November 21, 2024, NDLEA Kano Command sports unit, in collaboration with DDRD Unit, delivered sports-related WADA lectures to Annour- Science Academy Hadeja Road, YanKaba Nassararwa LGA, which comprises students and staff of about 100 participants both male and female at Cobra Sports Arena Magaji Rumfa Nassararwa GRA, Kano, Ibrahim Zubairu CSN led the lectures, targeting young minds with knowledge and skills to resist drug pressures. The campaign encourages students to engage in sports-related activities.

Renowned sports personality Jabir Hassan shared his personal experiences, emphasizing the importance of staying drug-free. “This campaign shapes young minds, promotes healthy habits, and ensures a brighter future,” Hassan stressed.

NDLEA Kano State Command, under Commander Abubakar Ahmad Idris CN, is committed to creating a drug-free sports environment. “This initiative is a significant step forward,” said Uba Jamilu Mohammad DSN, officer in charge of sports.

The campaign aligns with NDLEA’s efforts to combat drug abuse through partnerships and preventive measures.
