The Kano state government has suspended the Managing Director of Kano Radio Corporation (Radio Kano), Malam Hisham Habib.
The Independent Mirror reported that the suspension of Habib, who was appointed in July 2023, was contained in a letter signed by Abdullahi Musa, acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The letter dated 22 December 2023, directed the stations, deputy Managing Director, Abubakar Adamu Rano to takeover the affairs of the station.
“Following the suspension of the Managing Director, Radio Kano Corporation, I am instructed to request you to oversee the affairs of the corporation with immediate effect,” the letter read.
“Accordingly, you are by this letter requested to takeover the matters of the corporation, please”.
