A veteran Kano journalist and broadcaster, Aliyu Abubakar Getso, has passed away.
The Independent Mirror reports that he died on Sunday morning in Kano after a prolonged illness, according to his family.
The late Getso was a renowned voice on radio, having worked with several media organizations, including Kano State Radio Corporation, Freedom Radio, Premier Radio, and Vision FM.
He is survived by three wives, several children, and grandchildren.
The funeral prayer (Janazah) is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. today (Sunday) at his residence around Second Gate, Janbulo, Kabuga area of Kano City.
