The secret behind the success of Sai Masu Gida is Kano Pillar’s Fans- Babangida Little

Kano Pillars Football Club Chairman Alhaji Babangida Umar Alias Little says no right-thinking person will doubt his commitment towards the success of the team.

The Independent Mirror reported that this was contained in a statement signed by Mubarak Isma’il Abubakar Madungurum Assistant Media Officer Kano Pillars on Thursday 7 December, 2023.

The Chairman who was speaking after the club pipped a team visiting Akwa United club named Promise Keepers by a long goal at Sani Abacha Stadium, hailed the fanatical fans of the team for their level of decorum during and after the game, hoping such an exemplary act would be sustained.

Alhaji Babangida Umar Little, who described the fans as the secret behind the array of success of the club, called on its leadership to always enlighten fellow supporters on the need to accept whatever occured on the field of play in good faith.

This, according to him, will disabuse the minds of soothing sayers as the supporters in view of their numbers have been the envy of all countrywide. Thus, in his words, anything capable of portraying the good of the club and the state in the club, should be totally avoided.

The ex-soccer star used the chance to praise Governor Abba Kabeer Yusuf for his unflinching logistics and financial assistance to the team, not minding the multiple demands before his office.

Digressing to their upcoming fixture against hard-fighting Doma United of Gombe this week, he noted that they will not travel to the north-eastern state just to make the numbers but rather to earn the vital points at stake.

The Chairman called on their opponents to exercise patience, as their next door neighbours, Gombe United, have received their share, their own will not be belated.

Sai Masu Gida, as Kano Pillars are popularly known, are expected to depart Kano on Friday morning for the week thirteen cracker which will be held on Sunday at Pantami Stadium Gombe.

The Pyramid City side is 4th on the log with 19 points, while their opponents Doma United are 3rd with 22 points.
