The chairman Kano State Golf Association, Ambassador Ali Muhammad Magashi and the entire members of our association, says he is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of 22 talented Athletes, officials, medical and journalist from Kano state who recently lost their lives in auto in crash at Dakatsalle of Garun-Malam local government area of the state.
The Independent Mirror reports that, Magashi disclosed this in a statement he personally signed to Pyramid Radio this weekend.
According to him, their dedication and passion for sports were a source of pride to the state.
The golf chairman condole with the Kano state government, families and relatives of the deceased describing it as “Heavy devastating tragedy.”
The statement reads “I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of 22 Athletes from Kano state who recently lost their lives in auto crash after making our state pride at the just concluded National Sports festival held in Ogun State.
Their dedication and passion for sports were a source of pride for our dear state, and their untimely passing is an immense loss to Kano and Nigeria as a whole.
