The Side by Side Movement group, which fights against gender violence, has requested the religions leaders and tra,ditional rulers to work together to end the situation in the community.
The official of the group here in Kano, Rev. Adeyemo Adeolu Samuel disclosed this during a workshop organized by the organization for religious teachers, students and traditional rulers.
Samuel said “We have collaborated very strongly with religious leaders and traditional leaders, agencies that fighting sexual and gender base violence.”
On his part, the head of the National Agency for The Prohibition of Trafficking in Person NAPTIP, Kano state branch, Abdullahi Babale, called on the public to report anything they are not satisfied with, saying that the agency has a system of anonymity conditions to expose information of anyone gave an information to them.
According to Babale “We have a protective measure, the code will not be revealed, and the person who brought us a report will not reveal where we got it from”.
The event which was held at Tahir’s guest Plce, was attended by the Yoruba king of Kano, the mayors and other community influences.
