Kano State 1,001 foreign scholarship programme, under the leadership of His Excellency Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf, Abbs Gida Gida to depart Abroad on Friday 20 October, 2023.
The Independent Mirror reported that the Executive Chairman of Kano State Scholarship Board, Kabiru Haruna Getso, announced this on his Facebook post on Monday night.
The statement added that the grand flag off ceremony for the programme is slated to be held on that day, Friday in Kano.
The first batch of students comprising those from Sharda, Swarnnim & SR Universities are also set to depart for India on the same day (20th October 2023).
In view of the above, you are all expected to prepare for this day. The program will also be part of the ceremony for the activities of Mega Kwakwasiyya Day ( Dr Rabu Musa Kwankwaso Birthday).

Also, urge the students to lead in coordinating and ensuring that befitting classical kwankwasiyya attire (White & Red) for men and red veil and any other attire uniformly for women is specially prepared as your ceremonial dress.
Moreover, a series of activities to mark this event would be formally communicated to the students as the preparation progresses.
