The member representing Bichi Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Hon. (Dr.) Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi has paid tuition fees for 121 students from Bichi Local Government who currently studying various master’s and PhD programmes, for the third time.
The Independent Mirror reports that the beneficiaries were screened by the Hon Abubakar Bichi Education committee under the leadership of Dr. Habibu Usman Abdu PhD and the amount immediately disbursed to the student as done every year.
The breakdown of the universities attended by the beneficiaries is as follows Bayero University – 58, Federal University Dutsin-Ma – 24, North West University, Kano – 08, Aliko Dangote University and technology – 07.
Others institutes including Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria – 07, Federal University of Technology, Minna -04, Federal University Dutse 02, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University – 02, University of Jos – 01 and University of Nigeria, Nsukka 01.
Also candidates who benefit from, Nasarawa State University, Keffi 02, The Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna 02.
Abubakar Kabir Bichi is widely known for his commitment to the people of Bichi Federal Constituency, Kano State and Nigeria at large particularly through scholarships, educational interventions and other human capital development initiatives.
The disbursement exercise was attended by representatives of the benefitting institutions, staff of the Honourable Member, community leaders, student union representatives and members of the public.
