Kano State-born FIFA badge referee, Ahmad Rabiu Darma, shone brightly as Akwa United secured a 2-0 victory over Kwara United on matchday 30 of the 2024/2025 Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The Independent Mirror reports that Darma, recently honored with a FIFA badge by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for his dedication, sacrifices, and outstanding officiating, ensured a fair and controversy-free contest.

Speaking to Independent Mirror, Darma expressed his commitment to fairness in officiating:

“I always strive to be as fair as possible to both the home and away teams, so anyone can win.”

“Before this match, I officiated the game between Enyimba FC and Niger Tournadoes, where the visitors emerged victorious,” Darma stated.

For the matchday 30, Darma was assisted by Bosun Obayemi, Mohd Mawashi, Yusuf Indabawa from Kano State, and Zakari Aminu. The officiating team maintained a high standard throughout the game.

Recall that, Ahmad Rabiu Darma among 30 referees recently decorated with FIFA badges by the NFF, granting them the authority to officiate international matches in 2025.
