Ogunmodede also revealed plans to restructure the club’s football development system through the establishment of a world-class youth academy, beginning from the Under-12 level.

The 46-year-old tactician, who also serves as an assistant coach of the Super Eagles, outlined his vision for the Sai Masu Gida, acknowledging the passion of the club’s supporters while appealing for patience and unity throughout the rebuilding process.

Ogunmodede, who guided Remo Stars to a historic NPFL title in the 2024/2025 season, promised to instill a football philosophy built on discipline, effective communication, and an unwavering desire to win.

He further urged all stakeholders to set aside political differences and unite behind the club’s collective ambition of returning Kano Pillars to the summit of Nigerian football.

He described Ogunmodede’s appointment as a clear demonstration of the club’s determination to build a competitive team capable of challenging for major honours.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by members of the club’s board and management as Kano Pillars continued preparations for the start of the 2026/2027 NPFL season, which is scheduled to kick off in August.
