The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has vehemently opposed the recent tuition fee increase at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Kano.
The Independent Mirror reports that, in an interview with Premier Radio, NANS Vice President Huzaifa Sabo Usman described the decision as “harmful” to students, who are already grappling with Nigeria’s economic challenges.
The association expressed concerns about the added financial burden on students and called for an immediate reversal of the decision.
NANS also urged the government to intervene in the matter especially the situation students are facing.
The student body remains committed to advocating for students’ rights until a lasting solution is found.
