The Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University Kano (KHAIRUN), has commissioned the Basketball and Tennis Courts filed, in order to boost facility and sports activities in the institution.
The Independent Mirror reports that, the University has commissioned brand-new basketball and tennis courts on Tuesday, 24 December 2024, marking a major milestone in its efforts to promote sports development.
Professor Abdulrashid Garba, while briefing the newsmen emphasized, the university’s focus on sports development, aiming to make KHAIRUN one of the top universities in the country.
Garba, highlighted the importance of these facilities in achieving effective teaching and learning in the sports sector.
Garba Shehu, Director of the Kano State Sport Commission, praised KHAIRUN for its efforts in creating, accessing, and utilizing sports infrastructure.
While speeking at the comissinoned projects, Prof. A.A. Musa Garba Yakasai, commended the management of the institution, saying with the structures put in place, the university needs to expand its other facilities.
KHAIRUN, established in 2022, has been making rapid strides in providing quality education and facilities to its students.
The commissioned Basketball and Tennis Courts field of the KHAIRUN, attended many guests including Professor B.A. Haruna from the Faculty of Law, Bayero University Kano, KHAIRUN registrar, Malam Yusuf Datti, Aisha Dauda Sport director also University Coach and others.
