President and owner of Remo Stars’ male and female teams, as well as Beyond Limits Football Academy, Hon. Kunle Soname, generous gesture of rewarding the clubs with over ₦40 million in cash, in recognition of their remarkable achievements during the 2024/25 season.
The Independent Mirror reports that, the donations were announced during the Remo Stars Championship Gala, held on Monday in Ogun State.
Remo Stars, who made history by winning their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, received ₦25 million for their outstanding achievement.
The women’s team, Remo Stars Ladies, were also honoured with ₦10 million following an impressive campaign in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), where they secured a spot in the NWFL Super 6.
Beyond Limits Football Academy, a rising force in youth football, was rewarded with ₦5 million in recognition of their domestic success and international triumph at the prestigious Gothia Cup, held in Sweden this month, a testament to the club’s strong youth development program.
The ever-vibrant Remo Stars Supporters Club also received ₦2 million in appreciation of their unwavering support throughout the season.
Adding a personal touch to the celebration, Hon. Kunle Soname gifted Adedayo Olamilekan, the club’s Best Player of the Season, a brand-new car, a well-deserved reward for his standout performances during the club’s historic campaign.
Following this generous gesture, many are now eager to see what different clubs owners will offer to the players and officials of the recently four promoted NPFL clubs in recognition of their achievements.
