Kano State To Host President Peace Cup Semi-Finals, Final – AYSOF Chairman

Kano State, set to host the President Peace Cup Semi-Final and Final schedule to take place between 8th, 9th and 11th, 2024, organised by the African Youth Sports Federation (AYSOF)

The Independent Mirror reports that the AYSOF Kano State Chairman, Shehu Usman Yola in the press briefing in Kano on tuesday 30th July 2024, revealed that, matches to held at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano State.

Shehu Yola said that, the national body directed him to request Kano State Government’s hosting of the events, with the first phase, held in Zamfara State, symbolized peace in the region.

The upcoming semi-finals feature Kebbi, Sokoto, Niger, and Kano States, with AYSOF plans to launch the Kwankwasiyya Governor’s Peace Cup for Kano’s 44 local government soon.

Yola, urged state governors in Nigeria to invest in sports, highlighting its revenue generation and employment potential, and call for the support to Ƙano State people.

He thanked the Kano State government, for the cooperation, and their acceptance for the event to hold in the city.
