Jude Mamman, broke the record for the highest goals in the Barau Football Club team in the New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One 2023-2024 Season.
The Independent Mirror reports that in a statement signed by Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, Barau FC Media Officer on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Mamman emerged as the highest goalscorer with 7 goals.
The former Valiant FC, struck the last two goals in first-half stoppage time, and again in the 85th minute, as Barau FC defeated Clever Warrios 2-1 in NLO first round play-offs at Bwari Stadium, Abuja last month.
Mamman has provided an important platform for the best young footballers, offering more competitive games against top-quality teams.
Jude Mamman clinched the Barau FC Golden Boot award with 7 goals, narrowly beating Auwal Muhammad and Obed Ponkap to the prestigious award.
He scored one-one goals against three teams: Albarka FC, Sabon Gari FC, and Halfa FC, while he scored two-two goals against Ganduje Babies and Clever Warios all in the NLO this season.
Mamman was also among the highest goalscorers in the New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One 2023-2024 Season.
Jude Mamman was born in Kpaki, Mokwa Local Government in Nijer State, where he started his football career at Hossana FC Kpaki, then he proceeded to Ultimate FC in Mokwa.
The 19-year-old forward morved to Valiant FC of Lagos State from Hossana FC, where he played for NLO and spent one season with them.
Jude Mamman previously recorded the highest goalscorer with 21 goals in all the competitions in his last team, Valiant FC, before joining the Maliya boys last season.
He also emerged the five kings of the match in the New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One 2023-2024 Season.
Barau FC was promoted to the Nigerian National Legue NNL, following victory against Yoca Crocodiles in the penalty shootout on Sunday.
