Kano Pillars Technical Adviser Abdu Maikaba has blamed his team’s failure to grab even a single point in their opening league duel in Akure against home side Sunshine Stars for stress.
The independent Mirror reported that Maikaba made the observation while fielding questions from Newsmen shortly after the ninety-minute encounter held at Akure Township Stadium.
Other reasons, according to him, that led to the defeat they suffered include his inability to effect tactical changes during the game.
He expressed optimism that the team will bounce back during their second match involving neighbouring Katsina United on Sunday next week at Sani Abacha Stadium.
The Chief Coach urged supporters of the Kano darling to continue to pray for the success of the side, recalling a wise word that says who laughs last laughs best
Kano Pillars are 17th on the log, led by Bayelsa United, followed by Enugu Rangers and Shooting Stars of Ibadan who thrashed visiting Plateau United of Jos.
