The Barau Football Academy, to participate on the ongoing Rochas Foundation Football tournament 2023 in Abuja.
The Independent Mirror reported that Barau Football Academy, based in Kano State, was among 10 clubs to participate in the tournament.
In a letter dated this week, the Rochas Foundation wishes to sponsor a 4-day themed football scouting programme to enable non-members of the Foundation in Nigeria to benefit from its resources.
Added that, in view of this, the Rochas Foundation has invited two agents from Holland and the United Kingdom respectively, in order to scout the players.
The chairman of Barau Football Academy, Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, said the team would do everything to win the tournament.
The ten clubs to participate in the tournament include Rochas Foundation Football Club, Football Clubs, Sunzeal Football Club, IB Sporting Dream, Yaba FC.
Others are Inspiration Sports Academy, Barau Football Academy Kano, Kwara Footbal Academy, PRO Line FC, One Touch Unit Star FC.
The Moshood Abiola National Stadium, which is the multipurpose national sports stadium located in Abuja, to host all the matches.
Also, all the selected players will play again after the tournament in Abuja on Monday 6th November, 2023 and agents from Holland and the United Kingdom watch all the activities.
