Jigawa Farmers Called for Timely Intervention From the State Government

The chairman Amana Farmers and grain supply Association of Nigeria Jigawa state chapter, Alh Ali Yunusa Yan Dutse, has called for a timely intervention from the state government against the forthcoming irrigation farming season.

The independent Mirror reported that Speaking with our correspondent Saminu Zawa’I Mandari today, ‘Yan Dutse commended the Jigawa state governor Umar Namadi, for making fertilizers available kto farmers at a subsidized rate of N16,000 instead of N26,000.

He also praised the governor’s efforts in improving agriculture in the state, with his advice to invite experts to help and advise the farmers.

According to him, the support of the state government during the rainy season has greatly impacted the production of food across the state, adding that prices have already dropped to almost 50 percent.
