Kano Pillars Amputee Football Club has presented a Royal Patron appointment letter to Alhaji Kabiru Ado Minjibir, Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), popularly known as Magayakin Minjibir.
The Independent Mirror reports that this was contained in a statement signed by Ashiru Rabiu Gidan Tudu, Information Officer of the Kano State Sports Commission.
During the presentation ceremony, the leadership of Kano Pillars Amputee Football Club expressed delight over Alhaji Kabiru Ado Minjibir’s acceptance of the appointment, stating that his support would further strengthen the team’s efforts to promote and develop football for persons with special needs.
After receiving the appointment letter, Alhaji Kabiru Ado Minjibir expressed appreciation for the honour bestowed on him by the club and pledged to provide all possible support and assistance towards the growth and success of the team.
He further assured the club of his commitment to supporting the development of amputee football and sports for persons with special needs in Kano State and Nigeria at large.
