The 2024 Kano inter-bank games program of events was unveiled by the sports committee of the chattered institute of bankers of Nigeria Kano branch.
The independent mirror reports that the competition will be organized by the Chartered institute of bankers of Nigeria Kano branch in conjunction with the sports consultant of the game BNW CONSULT.
The sports committee chairman Mr, Steve Ogbe said that letters for registration has been sent to banks for registration and the sports competition will kick off in September to November 2024
Also, the Sports competition is meant for Apex and commercial banks in Kano State and the games to compete football for male only and track events for both male and female bankers at Sani Abacha Stadium Kofar Mata Kano and any other venues.
The chairman said that more emphasis will be focused on eligibility of players that proper screening will be conducted by coordinators of all participating banks before the commencement of the games and any bank that defaults during the competition will be sanctioned for years unlike previous years.
While the preparation is on top gear with the consultant BNW CONSULT to have hitch free games and promised that this year competition is going to be full of funfair and well packaged and will be attended by sports lovers.
The chairman Chartered institute of bankers of Nigeria Kano branch Alhaji Abubarka Bello USMAN (hcib) said, the essence of the game is to bring all banks together to build a very strong bond through sports and to keep fit for their banking jobs.
He advised the participants to behave well during the game to maintain the respect people have for bankers
The CEO of BNW CONSULT Mr, Michael Anike emphasized that well tested referees will be use through out the game and any referee that fall short of the standard will be dropped and also assured that the technicality of the game will fully apply for the good of the game and he appealed to players to be of good behavior in the field of play.
The chairman of the sports committee hinted to the sports reporter that there will be a dinner party and award nite after the sports event where all the banks regional managers and others will come together to interact and share ideas for the progress of the game.
Other banking matters and awards will be given to Worthy members of banking sectors and winners of the sports events will also be awarded, it’s going to be the best of it’s kind.
