The Director General of the Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board, (KSPHCMB) Professor Salisu Ibrahim, has said that the board is targeting children aged between nine and 15 months in the measles rebella vaccination campaign scheduled to hold from October 4 to 13, 2025.
The Independent Mirror reports that the Director General disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Kano this week.
He said the government had already received doses of the vaccines from different organizations for the campaign in the state.
Professor Salisu Ibrahim added that the board had also concluded all necessary arrangements for the successful conduct of the campaign across the state.
He explained that medical supplies and consumables had been distributed to various primary, secondary, and others healthcare facilities across the state.
The DG, therefore, called on parents to take their children to the designated health facilities to ensure they are vaccinated within the campaign period.
He also called on traditional rulers and other stakeholders to support the government in its efforts to improve the lives and wellbeing of residents, not only in healthcare but across all sectors.
