The newly appointed Kano State Project Coordinator for the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), Engr. Ado Jibril Kankarofi, has officially assumed duty and outlined his vision for the project.
The Independent Mirror reports that, Engr. Jibril highlighted key agenda points focused on boosting the rural economy, enhancing farmers’ livelihoods, and increasing agricultural productivity.
He emphasized his commitment to transparency and accessibility, stating that his office will remain open to all stakeholders involved in the management and implementation of the project.
The RAAMP initiative is aimed at developing rural areas in Kano State, particularly through the construction and improvement of critical infrastructure such as roads and bridges.
These improvements are expected to significantly enhance agricultural marketing and rural mobility.
In his speech, the outgoing Acting Coordinator, Engr. Rabiu Madugu Sanka, noted that the project is a collaborative effort between the Kano State Government and the World Bank.
He underscored the vital role of partnerships in achieving long-term development objectives.
