The Director-General of Media and Publicity to the Kano State Governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, has paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, with a focus on strengthening collaboration within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and advancing Kano State’s development.
The Independent Mirror reports that Bature disclosed this in a reflective post shared on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday.
According to Bature Dawakin Tofa, the visit was centered on party unity and development, stating: “It’s all about APC, all about Kano North’s development. Thank you, DSP Barau, for the honour.”
Bature, who hails from Kano North Senatorial District—the constituency represented by Senator Barau Jibrin—emphasized the need for sustained cooperation to promote development across the area.
Senator Barau Jibrin, known for his commitment to the development of Kano State and the North-West region, reiterated his readiness to support collaborative efforts with the Kano State Governor for the overall progress of the state.
Recall that when Senator Barau Jibrin and other APC leaders in Kano welcomed Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf into the All Progressives Congress at the Kano Government House, he urged party members, supporters, and stakeholders to rally behind the governor in the interest of Kano State’s development.
Senator Barau has also realigned his political structure from Tinubu/Barau Organisation to Tinubu–Abba–Barau Organisation, underscoring a united front aimed at strengthening governance and development in Kano State.
