Deputy President of the Senate, Distinguish Senator Barau I. Jibril met with the Barau football club Chairman Ibrahim Shitu Chanji.
The Independent Mirror reports that media Officer of the team Ahmad Hamisu Gwale revealed that the meeting was held in Abuja, ahead of the club engagement with various warm up matches and other pre season games.
The Senator who happens to be the sole financier of the Kano based club, has been supporting football and other sporting activities to promote peace, unity as well as youths engagement at all levels.
The meeting came a week before the team left Kano for the Gusau/Ahlan Pre-season tournament in Jos, plateau State capital this week.
Barau Jibril and Ibrahim Shitu Chanji discussed extensively with issues related to the team preparation in order to boost the morale of the management and players.
