‎OGC Seek Kano Journalist Aminu Abdullahi, to Contest KMC House of Representatives Seat

‎The Open Government Clique (OGC) has called on Kano-based journalist, Aminu Abdullahi Ibrahim, to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Kano Municipal, under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2027 general elections.

‎The Independent Mirror reports that the Chairman of the OGC, Bashir Muhd, made the call while describing Aminu Abdullahi as a young, competent, and competitive candidate capable of providing quality representation.

‎According to him, Aminu Abdullahi’s experience in journalism will enable him to contribute meaningfully to addressing the challenges facing the KMC constituency.

‎The groups highlighted that at a time when Kano Municipal faces pressing governance and socio-economic challenges, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Ibrahim stands out as the only credible and reliable candidate capable of rescuing and repositioning the Local Government for progress.

‎Aminu Abdullahi Ibrahim, a journalist with Premier Radio and a graduate from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, is widely regarded as one of the youngest and most hardworking journalists in Kano with strong community engagement influence.

‎The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) recently lost its serving representative, Hon. Sagir Koki, who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

‎As Aminu Abdullahi Ibrahim prepares to contest and possibly emerge as a candidate of the NNPP in the 2027 elections, many residents and journalists have continued to rally support for him, urging him to take up the challenge and vie for the seat.
