Royal Antwerp midfielder Alhassan Yusuf has been included in the Super Eagles squad for this month’s 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Independent Mirror reports that the name of Alhassan Yusuf made in the list following Wilfred Ndidi injuries which his no longer to play in AFCON in the Ivory Coast.
The Injury suffered by the Leicester City Midfielder Ndidi which has no chance to participate in the Forthcoming AFCON 2024.
On Monday Leicester City played a home win against Huddersfield Town on Monday Night in the Championship, but Ndidi was not in the Match.
It would be recalled that Ndidi was injured during the last World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe, also with this is not good news, knowing fully well that he has been an integral member of the Super Eagles team for more than five years.
Independent Mirror has been exclusively revealed that Alhassan Yusuf has already been replaced Wilfred Ndidi from the squad.

All the 24 teams for the AFCON will submit to CAF a final squad on today Wednesday, but have till January 10 to make changes in the event with only injury matter.

The Kano born Defensive midfielder Yusuf will be coming to the camp of the Super Eagles for the first time.
Alhassan has yet to be capped by the Super Eagles despite his fine run in Belgium with double champions Antwerp.

named Yusuf on a 40-man provisional squad for the AFCON before his late call-up.
The 22-year-old Kano State player, hard-running midfielder shone in Tuesday night’s famous 3-2 UEFA Champions League win over Barcelona in the 2023/2024 season.
Yusuf assisted on his team’s second goal and clocked over 13 kilometres in 90 minutes when he was on the pitch.
Alhassan Yusuf signed from IFK Göteborg in July 2021, the 2019 Allsvenskan Newcomer of the Year, has a contract with Antwerp until June 30, 2025.
