BREAKING: Senator Barau Jibrin Donates 2M To Flying Eagles

Deputy President of the Senate, Dr. Barau I Jibrin, has donated two million naira to the Nigeria U20 Men’s national team, the Flying Eagles.

The Independent Mirror reports that the team Media Officer, Babs Sharif Abdallah confirmed the donation by the Barau Jibrin.

Recall that on Thursday, Flying Eagles beat Cote d’Ivoire, qualified for the semifinal of the on-going U20 AFCON qualifying tournament in Lome, Togo.

Nigeria emerged the second in Group B with three points and scored more goals than their two other rivals.

Burkina Faso recorded three points but were eliminated after they scored the least number of goals in the group.

According to Sharif Abdallah,
“As part of efforts to boost the morale of the team, Deputy Senate President, Barau I. Jibrin has donated the sum of 2M Naira to the Nigeria U20 Men’s national team, the Flying Eagles.

The finalists of the 2024 WAFU B U20 football tournament will represent the region at the 2025 U20 African Cup of Nations billed for Egypt next year.

The CAF U20 AFCON will also serve at the qualifying tournaments for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup.with all the semi-finalists booking their World Cup tickets.
