President Bola Tinubu on Thursday held a closed-door meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, following the governor’s victory in last Saturday’s governorship election.
The Independent Mirror reports that Adeleke arrived at the Villa at about 5:25pm in a navy blue traditional attire and was accompanied by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
The meeting is the first between Tinubu and Adeleke since the governor secured re-election in the Osun governorship poll.
Tinubu had earlier congratulated Adeleke on his victory, saying the outcome was an assurance that democracy would continue to flourish in Nigeria.
Adeleke was accompanied by the Director-General of his campaign council, Senator Lere Oyewumi; a member of the council, Sunday Bisi; his Chief of Staff, Akinleye Kazeem; and the member representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Bamidele Salam
