A youth activist of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has strongly criticized the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for engaging consultants to conduct a nationwide membership registration exercise.
The Independent Mirror reports that Speaking to newsmen in Kano, the activist, who expressed deep concerns over the direction of the party, accused Ganduje of lacking focus and failing to address key structural issues within the APC.
He argued that instead of prioritizing the establishment of party offices at the ward and local government levels, Ganduje is diverting attention to registration, which he believes is premature and ineffective.
“Where are the newly registered members going to hold their activities if there are no functional party offices at the grassroots?”
“Ganduje should first focus on strengthening the party structure before embarking on registration.”
The youth leader further criticized Ganduje’s leadership style, stating that he lacks the creativity needed to move the party forward and properly prepare for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
“We urge President Tinubu to halt this registration process immediately and consider replacing Ganduje with a more competent person who can reposition the party for victory in the next general elections.”
The remarks reflect growing discontent among APC members, particularly in Kano, where concerns over the party’s stability and grassroots mobilization efforts continue to mount.
