APC Fixes May 15 for Presidential Primary, Sets Nomination Forms at ₦100m

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections.

The Independent Mirror reports that the schedule was signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.

The timetable outlines key activities, including screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as guidelines for the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.

“The APC reassures members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting credible and transparent primary elections that will strengthen the party’s internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals,” the statement said.

According to the timetable, the sale of forms will begin on Saturday, April 25, and end on Monday, May 4, 2026.

The presidential primary election is scheduled to hold between May 15 and 16. Other primaries are as follows: House of Representatives on May 18; Senate on May 20; State Houses of Assembly on May 21; and Governorship on May 23, 2026.

Appeals are scheduled as follows: presidential on May 18; House of Representatives on May 20; Senate on May 21; State Houses of Assembly on May 23; and Governorship on May 25, 2026.

The cost of forms is set as follows: Presidential aspirants: ₦30 million for expression of interest and ₦70 million for nomination.

Governorship aspirants: ₦10 million for expression of interest and ₦40 million for nomination. Senate: ₦3 million for expression of interest and ₦17 million for nomination.

House of Representatives: ₦1 million for expression of interest and ₦9 million for nomination.

State House of Assembly: ₦1 million for expression of interest and ₦5 million for nomination.

The party added that female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities are required to pay only for the expression of interest form and 50% of the prescribed nomination fees.
