Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil (ADUSTECH), for the first time since the past ten years is set to hold its 5th convocation ceremony this week.
The Independent Mirror reports that the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, made this known during a pre-convocation media chat with journalists.
He noted that ADUSTECH will award Honorary Doctorate Degrees to Alhaji Dahiru Mangal, Chief Author Eze, Dr. Adeniyi Raji (SAN), Alhaji Ado Mohammad, and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in recognition of their contributions to their communities and support to the university.
He further revealed that Africa’s richest man and Nigerian billionaire, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, will be reappointed as the university’s Chancellor for a second term.
Professor Yakasai also announced that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State will serve as the Visitor to the university during the convocation ceremony.
He expressed appreciation to the state government for providing the necessary logistics in preparation for a smooth convocation.
The Vice Chancellor added that the convocation will celebrate 18,000 undergraduate and 3,000 postgraduate students who graduated from the institution over the past 10 years.
The 5th convocation will be held at the premises of the school located in Wudil town which is 35 kilometers away from Kano metropolis.
