Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Condoles With Family, Kano Gov’t Over Death of Alhaji Aminu Dantata

Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the demise of a revered elder, distinguished statesman, business mogul, and philanthropist, Alhaji (Dr.) Aminu Alhassan Dantata.

The Independent Mirror reports that in a statement signed by its Academic Secretary, Hassan Abdurrahman, described the passing of Alhaji Aminu Dantata as a great loss not only to Kano State but also to the northern region and the entire country.

The statement read: “On behalf of the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdulhadi Sale Kumurya, the Governing Council, Senate, Management, and the entire University Community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, his associates, the Government and good people of Kano State, and the nation at large.”

“Alhaji Aminu Dantata was more than a business icon—he was a beacon of generosity, a mentor to many, and a staunch supporter of education.”

“His legacy is especially felt at Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, where he sponsored 100 less-privileged students at the university’s inception, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and academic advancement.”

“His passing is a monumental loss to Nigeria. Tributes from leaders across the country reflect his lifelong contributions to economic growth, social development, and national unity.”

“His impact on humanity and nation-building will remain indelible in the annals of history.”

The Al-Istiqama University Community joins the rest of the nation in mourning a life lived in service to others.

We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants him Aljannatul Firdaus and comforts his family, friends, and all who mourn this great loss.
