The Kano State Football association, is set to recognize and honour the outstanding performers in the top five competitions across the state.
The Independent Mirror reports that Hassan Abdullahi Garo, Board member and Chairman of competitions, said that grand event to award outstanding performers in the state owned leagues will be held on Saturday.
While making the announcement at a press briefing, held here in Kano on Monday, Garo representing the Chairman KSFA, Shariff Rabiu Ahalan added that the awards night will follow at Meena Event Centre Lodge Road Kano State.
He said the outstanding performances of individuals, organisations and other stakeholders will be honoured by KSFA.
The event will be graced by dignitaries, including President NFF Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, NFF Executive members and many prominent personalities.
Others, including the Chairman Committee of the Senate on Sports and Youth Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, House representatives Chairman on Sports, Ekene Adams, Kano state Commissioner on youth and sports Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso and others.
The events will feature the Ahalan League One and Ahalan Rijiyar Zaki Cup finals on Friday 21st June followed by the Ahalan League Two, Kano Top 20 Inter Secondary School Lion League, and Tofa Premier League finals on Saturday 22nd June 2024.
Also the finals will take place on Friday 21st June and Saturday, June 22nd, at various venues, including Mahaha Sports Complex, Rijiyar Zaki, and Sani Abacha Stadium.
The Kano State Football association also announced its new partnership with Interconnect Information Technology Company (CIIT) organizers of the Inter Secondary School Lion League.
The CEO of CIIT Abdullahi Musa emphasized that the collaboration with KSFA will not only enhance the development of football in Kano State but also provide a platform for players to showcase their talents to a global audience.
