OPEN LETTER TO MR. PRESIDENT: Urgent Plea for Presidential Intervention in the Kano Governorship Judgment Controversy

by Ahmad Hamisu Gwale

Your Excellency I want to express my deep concern and bring to your attention the critical situation unfolding in Kano State regarding the governorship judgment.

The people of Kano have overwhelmingly elected His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf, yet there are disturbing indications of manipulation by certain individuals within the presidential circle and some elders in Kano.

The use of federal judgments from the tribunal to appeal and now involve the Supreme Court raises serious questions about the integrity of the legal and democratic process.

As a leader with a commitment to democracy and justice, it is crucial that you intervene to prevent any manipulation that could undermine the will of the people.

Allowing such actions to go unchecked not only sets a dangerous precedent but also erodes the trust of the citizens in the legal and democratic system in nigeria.

I humbly implore you to use your authority as a president to ensure a free and fair resolution in accordance with the people’s mandate of Kano state in the Supreme Court Judgements.

Your decisive action in upholding the principles of democracy will not only safeguard the democratic values of our nation but also serve as a testament to your commitment to the well-being of the Nigerian people.

I trust in your dedication to the democratic ideals that our nation holds dear, and I appreciate your attention to this matter of national importance.

To be continues……

Sincerely,

Amb. Yusuf Jibrin Oyoyo
