Vice President Shettima Loses Step Mother

Vice President Kashim Shettima, in the early hours of Thursday, lost his step mother, Hajiya Hauwa Abba Kormi.

The Independent Mirror reported that Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications, Office of the Vice President, announced this in a statement.

He said Hajja Kormi who died after a prolonged illness at the age of 69, left behind five children, many step children and grandchildren.

Nkwocha said the Janaiza was scheduled for 4:00 pm at Shettimari, Lawan Bukar, Maiduguri, Borno State.

“May the Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings and admit her to Jannatul Firdaus,” he prayed.
