Former President Muhammadu Buhari’s media aide, Bashir Ahmad, has presented the Man of the Match (MOTM) award to Enyimba International goalkeeper Dede Dare following his impressive performance in the club’s goalless draw against Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.
The Independent Mirror reports that the Matchday 6 encounter between Kano Pillars and Enyimba International was held at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano, and ended 0-0.

“It was an honor to be selected by the Sports Writers’ Association in Kano to present the Man of the Match award in the Kano Pillars vs. Enyimba International match.
The award went to Enyimba’s goalkeeper for his exceptional performance and crucial saves that helped his team secure a hard-fought draw. Congrats to Enyimba’s number one” Bashir Wrote.
Enyimba goalkeeper Dede Dare delivered an impressive performance, making crucial saves to help his side secure a valuable away point and keep a clean sheet despite the club’s difficult start to the NPFL season.
Bashir Ahmad, who watched the encounter, described the match as a wonderful performance by both teams.
The award presentation took place after the match in recognition of Dede’s outstanding performance, as his display helped Enyimba secure a point and earned a clean sheet.
Despite the draw, the result extended Kano Pillars’ unbeaten run to five matches. The Sai Masu Gida have recorded two wins and three draws during the run.
