Northern Derby: Kano Pillars player Hopeful For Victory Against Katsina United

Kano Pillars defender, Fahad Usman has revealed he is of victory confident ahead of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, Matchday 2 encounter, against Katsina United on Saturday.

The independent Mirror reported that the encounter which will take place at the Sani Abacha Kofar Mata Stadium, will see the Abdu Maikaba led side take on the Chanji Boys side with a hope of bouncing back from their Matchday 1 loosing to Sunshine Stars

While speaking in an exclusive interview on Friday afternoon with independentmirror.com Fahad expressed his confident that Sai Masu Gida will secure a positive result against Katsina United on Saturday.

“The derby is not just a game, it’s a tradition, a rivalry Match that fuels the hearts of fans across the region,”

“But our preparation is high because we know that our opponent are a good side, so we are going to step up and wins the game insha Allah.”

” Yes, it is always a tough game against Katsina United, because they are one of the best team in the league, ” Fahad said.

The former Shekarau Babies and Junior Kano Pillars also revealed that the team felt really sad and depressed after their 1-0 loss to Sunshine Stars in Akure.

” It is always sad to lose your first game of the season, but we are going to put up a good performance in other to return to winning ways.”

” Like what I said earlier, every position in the team is very important to us, and we are going to improve in all positions as the season goes on, ” He concludes.

Fahad Usman will be hoping to make the first 11 start players that face the Katsina United (Chanji Boys) on Saturday, against the rival, at the Sani Abacha Kofar Mata Stadium, Kano states
